Winter Wrist Warmers FREE PATTERN

Christmas is slowly creeping closer, and we have had a busy term here in the Ludlow household! I have friends in my life that I really want to make something for, to show them how much they mean to me, so I decided to design a gift pattern that would be quick and simple to make. Not too many stitches to count, and no time consuming sewing together! Here we have my Winter Wrist Warmer pattern.

This pattern is written in UK crochet terms. US abbreviations below.
Abbreviations:
UK ch = chain
US ch = chain
UK dc = double crochet
US sc = single crochet
UK htr = half treble crochet
US hdc = half double crochet
UK tr = treble crochet
US dc = double crochet
UK sl st = slip stitch
US sl st = slip stitch
UK blo = back loop only
US blo = back loop only
UK fptr = front post treble
US fpdc = front post double crochet
You will need:
Yarn Weight: Aran
(Recommended: Scheepjes Stone Washed XL or Women's Institute Aran)
Hook: 5mm

Ch 8

Row 1: Tr into 3rd ch from hook. Tr across to end of chain. (6st) Turn.

Row 2: Ch2, tr-blo across. (6st) Turn.

Row 3-11: Repeat row 2.

Join your ribbed wrist piece by placing hook through each stitch and dc across. Turn your work, ready to work the palm section of your hand warmers.

Row 12: Ch2, (always do your next st into the base of this ch) 30htr into the top of ribbing. Join with sl st to top of 1st htr.


Row 13: Ch2, 30htr. Join with sl st to 1st htr.
Row 14-17: Repeat row 13
Row 18: Ch2, 30htr. (Do not join) Turn.
Row 19-22: Repeat row 18. (Don’t turn row 22)

Row 23: Sl st to top of 1st htr from previous row. Ch2, 30htr. Join with sl st to 1st htr.
Row 24-26: Repeat row 23.

Row 27: Ch2, 30tr. Join with sl st to top of 1st tr.

Row 28: Ch2, *fptr, bptr* Repeat * to * around top of hand warmers.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
