Molly Summer Crop Top

I enjoyed making the #iviecroptop for my 5 year old daughter, but of course my eldest wanted her own crop top too, so I decided to do something a bit different. I wanted her to have something with more detail at the neck, and came up with the #mollysummercroptop!

She was so happy to have her own version, and I added a different trim to Molly's top as well. She feels really grown up wearing it and I've had requests from her friends too!

I also decided to add a picot stitch to the top trim, which gave her something a little different to her sister's top.

I have now written up the pattern for this pretty summer top! It is easy to adjust to your child's size, as it ties at the neck and the back, making it adaptable and quick to put on and off.

I have written the pattern for age 4-8 years, and age 9-12 years. The larger age has a little more length, which you could obviously make even longer if more coverage is required!

To make the #mollysummercroptop you will need 120-140 yards of Rico Creative Cotton and a 4mm hook. You could of course use any aran weight cotton! I used just over one skein for Molly's top, so it's best to buy two and save the left overs for a little mini tote bag project or similar. I hope to add the free pattern for my mini tote bags to my blog soon, keep an eye out!

You can find the #mollysummercroptop in my Ravelry store. You can click on the image below to buy it now! Happy making friends, and don't forget to hashtag your makes so I can see your fantastic work!
